Science Articles
Assignment: Students are to find a science-related news article. It must be current for the month (if possible - not from last summer or last year or last decade). You may use the newspaper (eg. Redding.com if you don't subscribe to a paper copy), magazine, or the internet (as long as it is a legitimate news site). You may NOT use an encyclopedia (eg. Wikipedia). The article must be attached to your TYPED summary.
The paper should: 1. Introduce the article (title of article, name of source & page #).
2. Explain which branch of science you see in the article (earth, life, physical).
3. Give a brief summary (not copied word for word, though you may certainly use the science vocabulary in the article).
3. How does this relate to your community (city, state, country, world)?
4. What does this lead you to think about the topic?
5. One to two paragraph limit.
Due dates this year: To be determined.
